Every week we hear about winners who have won millions in a lottery draw. Their story gets reported on our blog and also in the media too. Most lottery winners are middle-aged people but some of those winners are also very old. Here are three people who won lotteries and reminds us that it’s never too late to turn your dreams into reality:

1.    Nguyen Van Het

He is a Vietnamese man who won £235,000 in 2010. He was 97 years old at the time he won the lottery. Rather than buying material things and try to elevate his standard of living, what Mr. Het did showed how bighearted he is. He generously gave the money to anyone who showed at his doorsteps for financial help. With the prize money, he bought a sack of rice for his family and neighbors, some meat and bought a television.

2.    Lena Eaton

Ms. Eaton, also nicknamed as ‘The Luckiest Great Grandmother of the US’, won two major lotto prizes within a period of three months in 2012. She was 91 when she won $399,000. She lives in Indianapolis and she used some of her prize money to install new windows and remodel her bathroom. She also said that she had never traveled anywhere in the world but now finally she has the opportunity and the money to tour the world.

3.    Gloria MacKenzie

Gloria MacKenzie won a whopping $590 million Powerball jackpot. It was the second largest Powerball jackpot ever. She was 85 years old at the time when she won the jackpot in 2013. It has been reported that Ms. MacKenzie bought a luxurious home worth more than $1.5 million. She also donated $2 million to Maine School so that they could repair the broken roof of their school. It is unknown what she would do with the rest of the prize money.

If this story of good old accidental lottery winners has ignited the dream of winning a lottery jackpot in you then wait no more, purchase a lottery ticket either online or from a nearby news agency and pray that you get all the numbers matched in the next lotto draw. The winning numbers of lotteries are broadcasted live on various TV channels in the US.
