A Powerball player New Jersey is sitting on a lottery ticket worth $430 million! It’s the seventh largest Powerball jackpot ever to be won in history. Many of the biggest Powerball player lottery winners forget that they have a ticket, and never get around to checking their results until they start seeing advertising looking for the winner and reminding players to check their tickets.

“The New Jersey Lottery is thrilled to announce that the sole winning ticket for Saturday night’s drawing was purchased in the Garden State,” said the New Jersey lottery commission. The executive director, Carole Hedinger, mentioned that the winning Powerball ticket was bought in Mercer County, in the capital of Trenton. The actual retail location still needs to be released, but the ticketholder(s) are probably taking their time to consult financial planners and lawyers before claiming their prize.

“Winning a Powerball jackpot of this size is a life-changing event. Huge congratulations to the ticketholder and the retailer who sold it. The lottery commission is anxiously waiting for a call from the winner telling them that they are the big winner of the jackpot,” said the commission.

The winning Powerball numbers for the $430 million jackpot were 5-25-26-44-66. The Powerball number was 9. Should the winner choose to receive their winnings in a lump sum, they will get $284.1 million after taxes.
